• Qualification : B.E/ B.Tech (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Control/ Telecommunication)
• Age Limit : 19 yrs 6 months to 25 yrs

3. Name of post : SSC Officer

• Entry (Branch/ Cadre) : Naval Architecture Cadre
• Qualification : B.E/ B.Tech (Naval Architecture/ Mechanical/ Civil/ Aeronautical/ Metallurgy)
• Age Limit : 21 yrs to 25 yrs

Women candidates can apply to Naval Architecture Cadre only.

Physical Standards: Minimum height-157cms for men and 152 cms for women with correlated weight. Eye Sight: For two eyes  6/24, using spectacles 6/6 (for Technical (General Service) & Submarine Cadre). For two eyes  6/60, using spectacles 6/6, 6/12 ( for Naval Architecture Cadre)

Selection process : A two stage SSB interview will be held at Bangaloe/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore on February-May 2010 which consist of intelligence test, picture perception test, psychological test, group discussion and medical tests.

How to apply
Applications typed in A4 size paper with a self attested photo pasted should be send at Post Bag No.2, Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi-110023. The attested copies of certificates showing age, qualification (marklists of 1st to 8th Semesters) should also be send along with the application. The envelop having the application should be super scribed with Application for 1st Choice………………..2nd ………………………. 3rd……………….. and Aggregate Percentage (1 to 8 Semesters)……………… and send by ordinary post only and should reach the address given on or before 9th February 2010.

• Educational Qualification : Qualified on in 10 + 2 / equivalent ezamination with Maths & Physics and atleast on of these subjects ; Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science .
• Pay & Allowances : Stipend : Rs. 5700/- during training period . On Completion of Training , They will be placed in the Basic Pay Band is Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay @Rs.2000/- plus MSP @Rs. 2000/-

Applications are invited from unmarried male Indian citizens for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Naval Armament Inspection Cadre of Executive Branch of the Indian Navy for Course commencing July 2010.

Eligibility Conditions:

Age : Between 19 and 1/2 to 25 years (candidates to be born between 02 July 1985 to 01 January 1991; both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualifications

BE/B.Tech. in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical from an instituttion recognised by AICTE.

OR

Post Graduate Degree in Electronics / Physics from a recognised university.

Physical Standards : Minimum height – 157 cms. The minimum acceptable visIon standard for distant vision 6/60, 6/60 correctable to 6/6, 6/12 with glasses. Should not be colour blind.
